Description

Gyokuro Premier also known as Jade Dew, is the absolutely highest grade of Japanese green tea! Cherished and sought after by tea connoisseurs all over the world, Gyokuro is a rare Japanese green tea variety that is shaded for a minimum of two weeks before harvesting; this will naturally boost the levels of chlorophyll in the leaf- which produces a unique, deep, and sweet cup of green tea! Naturally grown Gyukuro Premier of this quality is rarely exported, and rather difficult to buy, we here at Tealyra have gone to great lengths to procure for your pleasure!

Harvested just once annually during the spring, our shade grown Gyrokuro’s increased levels of chlorophyll add depth, flavor, color and complexity to the tea, and significantly increases its nutritional content as well. Our Gyokuro Premier has a silken mouthfeel, it is rich, deep in color and flavor, is slightly buttery and savory.

We highly recommend that you pay special attention to the water temperature and steeping time; it is important to never use boiling water!

Wonderful. I've tried several of the Gyokuros here and, IMO, this is the best. Mildly sweet but savory and smooth. Along with the Sencha Satsuma, I drink five or six cups a day. I can (and do) drink it all day, although it's kind of my late morning/afternoon tea since it's got a bit more caffeine than some green teas (but not that much). I don't oversteep the tea but I do 'double dip' it. Steep for 2 minutes, pull it out and let it drain, and then dip it back in for 5-10 seconds. Creates a stronger flavor that is not oversteeped, IMO.

[FR] Fameux! Odeur de pêche et de chocolat quand on ouvre la sac. Goût intense! Un grand cru!

Surprisingly sweeter than many - if not all - other green tea I've tasted before. I recommend to leave the bag/leaves in the hot water for more than the recommended 2 minutes, or else you'll end up drinking diluted water

This is a good tea. I like the mellow taste, very refreshing.
